MULTI FIBER DISTRIBUTION (TIGHT BUFFERED) CABLE ASSEMBLIES

The system consists of standard internal / external tight buffered distribution cable, which is supplied in specific lengths for each cable run in an installation. This cable is available in multimode or singlemode with fibre counts of 4, 8, 12, 16 or 24.

The cable is factory prepared in our in-house facility with a gland on each end which is epoxy bonded onto the Kevlar Strain Relief Yarn in the cable. The secondary coated fibres are terminated with either ST, SC, LC or FC-PC connectors which are fully tested and certified under our quality system. This ensures that the quality of the complete cable assembly is guaranteed before shipping to site.

A specially developed termination protection sleeve is fitted to each end of the cable assembly to protect the connectors during shipping and installation. This sleeve has a small diameter and is flexible, lightweight and extremely rugged. The protection sleeve connects onto the epoxy bonded cable gland and can withstand the high tensile loads applied when pulling cables through ducts. A pulling eye is incorporated to allow the attachment of a draw cable.

After cable installation, the protection sleeves are removed and the connectors are threaded through the gland hole of any cable management enclosure. A gland nut is used to secure the cable gland in place. Then the connectors are simply connected to the adaptors inside the enclosure to complete the installation.

MICRO CABLE ASSEMBLIES (2MM TAILS)

Micro cable ruggedised pre-terminated assemblies with 2mm tails features low loss optical performance, while the 2mm tail structure is ideal for application where the cable is non-protected, ex. MODE CONDITIONING PATCHCORD

Mode Conditioning Patchcords are used to connect multimode fiber plants that use transceiver modules. They are needed because transceiver modules use a singlemode launch condition even when they are being used with multimode fiber. These cables are easily installed without any additional fiber optic equipment. When the transmit signal is launched down the center of the core of the multimode fiber it will cause multiple signals to be generated and cause errors. When these multiple signals reach the receiver at the other end of the cable, the receiver becomes confused and cannot read the signal correctly. The mode conditioning cord eliminates the multiple signals. It allows the singlemode launch to be offset from the center of the multimode fiber so that the signal launch is closer to a multimode launch condition. It should be noted that an MC cord should be used in pairs at each end of the connection.

SINGLE MODE PIGTAILS

Fiber optic pigtail is a fiber optic cable terminated with a factory-installed connector on one end, leaving the other end unterminated. Hence the connector side can be linked to equipment and the other side melted with optical fiber cables. Fiber optic pigtail are utilized to terminate fiber optic cables via fusion or mechanical splicing. High quality pigtail cables, coupled with correct fusion splicing practices offer the best performance possible for fiber optic cable terminations. Fiber optic pigtails are usually found in fiber optic management equipment like ODF, fiber terminal box and distribution box. Single mode fiber pigtail is mostly yellow, there are two wavelengths, 1310nm and 1550nm, transmission distance of 10km and 40km.

MULTI MODE PIGTAILS

D-CONNECT multimode pigtails are used to connect high speed networks like gigabit ethernet, fast ethernet and ethernet. The multimode pigtail buffer conforms to IEC, EIA TIA or Telcordia standards. The multimode pigtails are terminated with high quality connector which gives optimum optical performance.

PACK OF 12 COLOURED PIGTAILS

Designed specifically for fusion splicing to most fibre types and commonly used for termination purposes of Loose Tube Cables the D-CONNECT pigtail range is the optimal choice when quality and reliability are of the utmost importance. Using only the highest quality fibre TNS manufactures a broad range of Optical Fibre Pigtails meeting the needs of the communications industry. All assemblies are fully tested prior to delivery to ensure customer satisfaction. Most pigtails types are available as single pigtails. Alternatively pigtails can be supplied in packs of 6 or 12 pigtails colour coded to IEC specifications allowing for easy installation and easy identification of each individual fibre. These are commonly known as rainbow packs. Most common connector types are stocked with a 2 metre length as standard allowing for fast delivery times.

ACTIVE OPTICAL CABLE (AOC)

Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a cabling technology that accepts same electrical inputs as a traditional copper cable, but uses optical fiber “between the connectors”. AOC uses electrical-to-optical conversion on the cable ends to improve speed and distance performance of the cable without sacrificing compatibility with standard electrical interfaces.

Simply put, Active Optical Cable (AOC) assemblies were invented to replace copper technology in data centers and high performance computing (HPC) applications. So the basic idea of AOC is to embed the active optical transceiver components into the electronic connector instead of using separate optical transceiver and pluggable fiber cable. (since the cable is permanently attached).

FBT SPLITTER

Fiber optic splitter, also known as a beam splitter, is based on a quartz substrate of an integrated waveguide optical power distribution device, similar to a coaxial cable transmission system. The optical network system also needs to be an optical signal coupled to the branch distribution. In which requires the fiber optic splitter is one of the most important passive devices in the optical fiber link, is optical fiber tandem device with many input terminals and many output terminals, especially applicable to a passive optical network (EPON, GPON, BPON, FTTX, FTTH etc.) to connect the MDF and the terminal equipment and to achieve the branching of the optical signal. Fused Biconical Taper splitter is one of the most common splitters. As this technology has been developed over time, the quality of FBT splitters is very good and they can be deployed in a cost-effective manner. FBT splitters are widely accepted and used in passive networks, especially for instances where the split configuration is smaller (1×2, 1X4, 2×2, etc.)
